Jason Sohlke

Programs

Jason Sohlke is a Senior Systems Engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). He is a former naval submarine officer and has been with JHU/APL since 2008. His experience is varied and deep within SSBN/SSGN submarine operations, Electronic Warfare systems (both ground and air systems), tactical aircraft (including EA-18G, AV-8B, and TH-57), hypersonics, and missile system development (Navy Conventional Prompt Strike and Trident D5II). Mr. Sohlke also has direct experience in DoD acquisition including activities in TMRR and EMD for several programs, including a Navy ACAT 1D program.

His acquisition experience includes SOW/CDRL definition and product review, Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA), DoD architecture products and system definition, CONOPS and requirements development/analysis. Mr. Sohlke’s most recent experiences include Rapid Acquisition Programs and Hypersonic Missile Systems.

Mr. Sohlke has a BS in Weapon Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a MS in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. He is enthusiastic and motivated toward bringing the very best engineering information programs to the Chesapeake Chapter that can be found in the East Coast region.
