Digital Engineering: An opportunity for acquisition agencies

Please Note: This presentation is purely VIRTUAL/ONLINE. LECTURE: 7 – 8:00 pm

An online chat questions-and-answers session will also be available. Webcast Link will be sent to Registrants

Abstract:

There is increasing adoption of digital engineering in industry due to the economic benefits and enabling technology it brings to an organisation. However, there is also the opportunity for acquirers in this age of digital transformation in systems engineering. Acquisition agencies are responsible for ensuring the systems engineering lifecycle is delivering the outcomes clients and users need. They are also responsible for initiating the lifecycle through the elicitation, definition and analysis of the users need and systems requirement, amongst other artifacts. This presents an opportunity for acquirers. For acquirers, implementing digital engineering can provide opportunities to collaborate throughout the project delivery, tightly engage with their supplier network, understand trade-offs through design and upgraded lifecycles and support enhanced/immersive reviews.

This presentation presents the case for acquisition agencies to both adopt and drive the application of Digital Engineering within their industry.
