Abstract:
This talk will explore several “hot” topics in systems engineering as we enter 2023. Along with a short introduction to these topics, Dr. Biemer will explore some challenges that exist within these domains and areas. Example topics include model-based systems engineering, agile systems engineering, digital engineering, and system of systems engineering. “Hot” domains today include infrastructure resiliency and healthcare technology integration.

Dr. Biemer is the 2023 President of the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter and has over 37 years of experience in applying systems engineering principles and methods to the defense and aerospace industry, cyber operations, homeland security, and healthcare technology. He is the co-author of our door prize for tonight. He received his Doctorate From George Washington University in 2021 and holds multiple degrees from Johns Hopkins University.
